A tribute to Ed McMahon

Ed McMahon
March 6, 1923 - June 23, 2009

For over 40 years, Ed McMahon shared his generosity of spirit and professionalism with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. He began his affiliation with the Jerry Lewis MDA Labor Day Telethon in 1967. McMahon received both the MDA's Lifetime Achievement Award and its National Humanitarian Award for his years of devoted service on behalf of people with muscular diseases. McMahon served as chairperson of the MDA Senior Citizen's Crusade and made many personal and news media appearances on behalf of the MDA. McMahon was a generous man who will be greatly missed at MDA and by MDA families like ours.

Lip Venom V

Be transformed. Let the alchemy transcend.

This special limited edition Lip Venom is a sneak preview of our highly anticipated Twilight Venom, debuting this Fall. Lip Venom V is not your typical DuWop venom. Instead of a gloss, Lip Venom V is a shimmering crimson lip stain suspended in a venom-laced liquid lip conditioner with a super potent bite (watch out!), and contains argan, avocado, olive oils and vitamin E.

This product should be shaken before use to represent the blending of the human and vampire worlds and applied repeatedly until lips are plumped, revitalized and the desired intensity of color has been reached.

Only a limited number of Lip Venom V have been produced. Vampires may live forever, but this offer won't. Due to limited quantity and exclusivity of this offer, limit 2 per customer.

Pre-orders are now being taken. Enter your special code at checkout to receive the Us Weekly exclusive discount. If your DuWop order contains Lip Venom V, your entire order will ship July 1, 2009.

Offer applies to one order per customer per household. Quantities limited. This one-time special offer ends July 31, 2009 at midnight (EST) or while supplies last.

Happy Birthday, Edward Cullen!

Today, June 20, is Edward's 108th birthday. He was born on this day in 1901. Yes, I am turning into a twilight geek. But that's just one of the things Dasha loves about me (and Prince Charming grudgingly tolerates about me). I have Dasha and disneymom to thank for this.

If you've been caught up in the twilight frenzy like so many have, you likely have a few pictures on the topic you want to scrapbook. To make your pages more authentic, try using the font which is used for the title of the book. Or beloved Edward's own handwriting (think "be safe"). Or Bella's handwriting. Or Jacob's. Yes, it is totally F-R-E-E! http://twilightsource.com/fonts.php (just click on the twilight Source link on my list of Favorite Links to the right).

On a related topic, there is a typography website http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/ that can turn people's handwriting into fonts. Check out the current fonts and submit your handwriting to become a font at http://http://kevinandamanda.com/fonts/fontsforpeas/how-to-get-your-handwriting-as-a-font/ (just click on the Kevin and Amanda Fonts for Peas link on my list of Favorite Links to the right). Get your font. It's FREE! I am hoping soon to be able to post for you some Anderson family fonts............how's that for a teaser?

Speaking of my two teens and a tween, here they are! wild bunch
Dasha is 12 years old. Sean is 13. Luba is 16.
Welcome! This is my very first blogging attempt. You'll have to overlook the fact that it will be very amateur until I get the hang of it. First, I need to thank my husband (aka Prince Charming) for his patience with me as he tries to hold my hand through this new adventure called blogging. I also want to thank my sister for her blog which has inspired this latest undertaking. Thanks disneymom! Finally, thanks to everyone who visits. I hope you will leave kind comments.
